There's a rumour going around....

have you heard??
something is changing at Perve....
Perve is going Perve-ier
Performance is getting wilder
If you think it's HOT now, just wait...

Perve January 22nd

Last month's Perve was just as ferocious, fiesty, and free as always!

If your Labia's got plenty of Flava then get tasty with this song by Chantilly Lee-Lee and Sleazy Eazy:

Straight from performing at the Sydney Opera House, and winning the SA Final of the National Poetry Slam, Indigo wove her wily words to a phat rhythm. Her poetry is potent:

Perve also featured Emma Beech as Saskia. The international-woman-of-mystery, Saskia delivered stories of home, belonging, fashion, and loving and hating our lil old Adelaide (she's back with even more on May 21st!).

And Chante gave us her relentlessly new work. We heard poetry that doesn't trust words, and love that wants to trust.

Wow - we also grooved with MT and her percussion band Many Trees in the Wood Chips. They will rock La Boheme again on May 16th!

So much to look forward to!
Come out and Perve.

'Perve' - from June 2007 to now! 3rd Thursday each month

So you like to Perve??
Third Thursday each month
La Boheme, 36 grote Street, Adelaide
$15/10
cocktail specials (believe me, the show is funnier with these)
'Perve' celebrates and invigorates women in the arts in Adelaide. Performers are both established and emerging artists who present fresh and developed work.
Our art is edgy - we sit on the line between art and not-art.
We can be rude
And raucous
Sometimes the audience get on stage cos they're inspired
Sometimes they just call out from their seats
It's always unexpected. You perve at us, and we perve right back at you.
Always looking for performers. Headlining acts receive a fee.

2 hot for 2TightPants??

I am WAY too hot today!
Sleazy Eazy and me are takin it real chill and hanging at da park. But we never forget our art and so here you can see us practicing to write real good

Gettin high for art

There is nothin I will not do for my art. Even if it means gettin high with Sleazy Eazy - I don't care, I'll do it!
And I'll break the law too.

Our art is rool cutting edge

Dis is me (the cute blonde-that-looks-like-Britney-so-everyone-always-says) and my bestest friend, Sleazy Eazy.
Our art is rool cutting edge

2TightPants - from 2007 to now!

You will see this everywhere. It's Britney gone badder
Me, Chantilly Lee-Lee, and me bestest friend, Sleazy Eazy are a rool cool posse called 2TightPants. We started being rooly funny in 2007 in Sydney and Maitland, then we did an Adelaide Fringe show in 2008. Every month we show our bits at 'Perve' at La Boheme (you can check out pix of that here too).
We're wearin too tight pants cos we don't quite fit
We're wearing too tight pants and we ain't takin lip
We're wearin too tight pants - cop a squiz at my lips
We're wearin too tight pants and we're gonna be - a HIT!
I am nearly really famous.

Archive - 'She' 2007

'She' was produced, performed, and devised for the Feast Festival in Adelaide, 2007. The show explored women's sense of autonomy and how this is affected by domestic violence. The final section of the show used Forum Theatre, and invited audience members to come on stage and attempt to solve the problems displayed.

'She' has just been funded by the Australia Council to get bigger in 2009!

Email me if you want to be involved!

Archive - 'every exceptional life' 2004

Purr Productions received money from the '7th City of the Arts' to create a short film about the everyday, exceptional women of Maitland, NSW. The three women we featured - Kiley, Mercy, and Meta - have the most extraordinary stories!
An 80 year old peace activist escaping a history of violence; a single mother of three children, one with severe life-threatening disabilities; and an educated migrant from Zambia, forever treated like she's unskilled.

Archive - 'The Vagina Monologues' 2003

'The Vagina Monologues' was produced by Purr Productions in conjunction with Carrie's Place Women's and Children's Refugue in NSW, with a performance at the gorgeous Civic Theatre, Newcastle.
Have you seen 'The Vagina Monologues'?? You MUST!
Stay tuned, cos we'll do it again. Email me if you want a role.
In 2003 we raised over $25,000 for the refugue! Wow.
In 2008 we're raising money for widows who've been living in refugee camps, and now wish to return to Sudan.

Archive - 'Biting the Lip' 2005

In 2003 Purr Productions was part of 'Infest', with Tantrum Theatre in Newcastle, NSW. Amy wrote 'Biting the Lip', a one-act play based on love, adventure, freedom - and then the traumatic loss of freedom through assault. It was set in Mexico, on the beach.
The set was one giant blue hammock!

Archive - bUSt 2003

In 2003 we did this show, 'bUSt'. It was about food, bodies, love, and freindship.
We sang, danced, pounded our boobs and even got a little bare!
